These lids are used for sterilizing liquid culture media and propagating mushroom culture. Each lid comes with a high grade platinum-cured silicone gasket to prevent any leaks, and a syringe filter for air exchange. They have a rim that holds the gasket in place and are autoclavable. These lids are heavy duty, reusable, and work awesome!
Pro tip: Screw the lids on loosely so the silicone seal presses lightly on the jar rim. This will prevent possible warping of the sides of the lid while pressure cooking. Tighten immediately upon removal from a pressure cooker.
